Man taken to hospital after being stabbed in Eastville

A MAN was in hospital today after being stabbed in Eastville last night.

Police say the man, who is in his 40s, was found injured by a passer-by at the M32 skatepark under the Eastville flyover, near the Muller Road roundabout at the bottom end of Eastville Park, shortly after 11pm.

Police and ambulance crews were called and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said his injuries were neither “life-threatening nor life-changing”.

The spokesperson added: “Initial enquiries were carried out last night and the scene was searched this morning.”

The attacker has been described only as a white man.

Police have called on anyone who was in the area last night and believes they saw anything or have any dashcam footage which could help the investigation to call 101 and quote the crime reference 5224 146 193.
