A TEENAGER was punched by another youth who tried to rob him of his bike in Hillfields.
Police say the 13-year-old boy told officers he was stopped while cycling in Briar Way at about 3.30pm on Sunday August 4.
A police spokesperson said the attacker “demanded his push bike and punched him in the face, causing bruising”, adding: “Thankfully the 13-year-old was able to cycle away.”
The incident was reported the following day.
Video and witness appeal
Police are asking for witnesses, information or anyone with dashcam or doorbell video footage to call them on 101 and quote the crime reference number 5224 204 283.
The spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as aged 14 or 15, with black curly hair and of mixed heritage appearance.
“He was wearing a black and grey jumper, grey trousers and black trainers.”
